1. What the Move-In Shield Includes
- Visual inspection of the main panel and subpanels (accessible)
- Sampling of outlets, switches, and fixtures throughout the home
- GFCI/AFCI verification in applicable locations
- Written inspection report with photos, delivered same day
- Correction allowance for minor items identified during inspection (see Section 3)
- Homeowner walkthrough and Q&A at the end of the visit
2. Scope Limitations
The Move-In Shield is a visual inspection only. It does not include:
- Invasive inspection (opening walls, attic/crawlspace wiring surveys beyond accessible areas)
- Full circuit tracing or load testing
- Appliance or HVAC electrical inspection (inspected at panel connection level only)
- Low-voltage systems (data, audio, security)
- Underground or exterior conduit systems beyond visible terminations
3. Correction Allowance
The Move-In Shield includes a correction allowance for minor items found during the inspection (outlet replacements, cover plates, labeling, GFCI device upgrades in applicable locations). The allowance amount and scope are defined in your service agreement. Items beyond the allowance will be quoted separately.
4. What We Cannot Guarantee
Visual inspections identify visible conditions only. Concealed wiring defects, splices behind walls, or conditions hidden by finishes, insulation, or stored items may not be identified. A Move-In Shield is not a warranty of the entire electrical system.
5. Report Delivery
Written report delivered same day via email in PDF format. Includes photos of findings and prioritized recommendations (immediate safety concerns vs. future improvements).
6. Acceptance of Terms
By scheduling a Move-In Shield inspection, the customer acknowledges these scope limitations and agrees to the conditions herein.
