Conditions & Scope
Last updated: January 20, 2026
1. What the Backup Power Bundle Includes
- Interlock kit or transfer switch installation (as scoped)
- Generator inlet (power inlet box) installation for portable generators where applicable
- Circuit labeling and load planning documentation
- Grounding & bonding as required for code compliance
- Permit application and inspection coordination
2. Generator Supply
Generator supply (the generator unit itself) is not included unless explicitly stated in your proposal. We install the connection equipment; you supply the generator or we can recommend a dealer.
3. Automatic vs. Manual Transfer
Automatic standby systems (whole-home generators with ATS) are a different—and larger—scope than a portable interlock or manual transfer switch. Your proposal will specify which system is included.
4. What Is Not Included
- Generator unit supply or delivery
- Fuel supply plumbing (gas/propane) or fuel system permits (separate trades)
- Concrete pads, landscaping, or exterior finish work
- Panel upgrades (quoted separately if required)
- Automatic transfer switch unless explicitly included
5. Utility & AHJ Requirements
Some jurisdictions and utilities have specific requirements for generator connections (anti-islanding, disconnect labeling, inspection processes). We will identify these during scoping and include compliant installation.
6. Outage-Ready Guarantee
Work performed under the approved scope will be installed in a code-compliant manner and will pass inspection. If an inspection identifies a deficiency in our installed work (within scope), we will correct it at no additional labor charge.
7. Acceptance of Terms
By scheduling or authorizing a Backup Power Bundle, the customer acknowledges and agrees to these conditions.
